Apple launches its new AirTag product on Tuesday, a small circular silver token with a chip that can be attached to objects such as keys, bags, and wallets and then used to locate them if they are misplaced.

AirTag, created to compete with the popular Tile, a device already on the market with very similar features, employs the iOS operating system’s ‘Find My’ technology, also used to locate a lost iPhone. This token, equipped with a U1 chip, can be attached to a key chain and personalized with the emoji of your choice. It will go on sale on April 30 for $29.

On Tuesday, Apple also unveiled a completely redesigned new model of its iMac computer. With a screen thickness of just 11.5 millimeters, and a new ad-free podcast subscription service with exclusive content.

The new iMac, one of the most complete and expensive computers in the company’s entire lineup, is powered by Apple’s M1 chip. Which the company began marketing last year and allows for good performance. Without overheating or excessive fan noise, as they assured during the presentation.

The computer has an aluminum finish and the elegance of Apple products. It will be available in seven colors this time: red, blue, orange, yellow, green, purple, and silver.

The screen is 24 inches and has a 4.5 K resolution, with a total volume reduction of 50% compared to previous models. According to the company, the camera’s performance has improved. Which can now record in 1080 pixels even in low light conditions.

The iMac comes with a magnetic power cable that plugs into the back. And a redesigned keyboard, mouse, and trackpad to match the new model.

Apple’s top-of-the-line computer costs $1,299 ($1,499 for higher-end models) and will be available online on April 30.

The company led by Tim Cook also used Tuesday’s event to announce a change to its popular podcast app. Which will now allow listeners to subscribe to their favorite shows without having to listen to ads. And access content specials. Subscribers can also listen to new episodes before they are released to the general public.

The subscription price for the user will be determined by the podcast creators. Who will have to pay Apple $19.99 per year to offer this option.
